The Challenge
War can leave deep psychological scars. Many defenders and civilians face trauma from combat, captivity, injury, and loss, yet too often they lack access to specialized care or hesitate to seek help because of stigma. When trauma goes untreated, the consequences extend beyond the individual, affecting families, readiness, and the strength of the society they fought to protect.
Our PTSD Clinical Program delivers clinically grounded PTSD treatment to trauma survivors.
Our Restorative Retreats offer respite and renewal to wounded Ukrainian children and war journalists.

OUR PROGRAMS
PTSD Clinical Program
Our PTSD Clinical Program is one of the leading treatment programs for combat-related trauma in Ukraine. The SGB protocol entails a targeted injection to the stellate ganglion—the nerve cluster at the top of the neck—to regulate the body's stress response, thereby rapidly reducing the crippling symptoms of PTSD. Delivered within a structured clinical framework that includes screening, treatment, and follow-on care, the procedure restores function.

Reduce the debilitating effects of PTSD on Ukrainians affected by the war, including both soldiers and civilians, and become a standard of care for PTSD based on peer-reviewed clinical results.

OUR PROGRAMS
Restorative Retreats
Our Restorative Retreats provide short-term, structured recovery environments for individuals most affected by the sustained pressures of war—vulnerable children and mothers facing trauma, loss, or chronic illness, and frontline journalists experiencing prolonged operational stress.
THE HEALER
This small two-bedroom home on the west coast of Portugal, provides a safe, quiet and warm environment for mothers and children suffering from war wounds, trauma, loss of a loved one and/or chronic illness. Patient selection is performed by psychologists at the largest children’s hospital in Okhmatdyt. Over the course of a typical 3-4 week stay, children can engage in basic childhood activities no longer possible in Ukraine, while their need for follow-on treatment is assessed.
To help heal Ukrainian children and their mothers suffering from the visible and invisible wounds of living in a war zone.
THE BREATHER
War journalists suffering from the stress and exhaustion of living continuously in a war zone spend 7-10 days in this one-bedroom apartment overlooking the ocean in Portugal, giving them the opportunity to decompress and build the resilience needed to return to the frontlines.
To help the Ukrainian journalists to regain the mental and physical energy to return to the dangerous work of documenting the war, and to continue to build their journalistic skills, a critical pillar of democracy.
